Stayed in Lynmouth, Devon last June...never been before, but it's a gorgeous part of the country!

Ah, these were taken during your HDR period weren't they mate? :icon-lol:

Really liking that 1st harbour one. The railing makes a great lead in line to the image and the composition is spot on :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Great work mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

oh god here goes the coach driver.the twin towns of lynton and lynmouth-mouth at the bottom-were the villages that had the massive flood at a place called watersmeet(where rivers meet).lynmouth was washed away and severely damaged-good museum of it there.fabulous pub on mars hill(second pic with lights on you can just see it),they do lovely steak pie lol.they have the highest sea cliffs in the area and have a fantastic cliff path that goes for miles.both towns were built up by a millionaire(think he owned a magazine)and bankrupted himself doing them both up.he's a local hero.
the cliff lift is not unique there are several but this is the only one that still uses water in the tanks to lift-they fill the tank then release it.all the others are now electric.they also have very similar ones at scarborough and hastings to name but a few.i think the area makes for a lovely quiet relaxing holiday.good drivers too but dont get stuck on porlock hill like i did 20 years ago in an old bedford coach!

I posted this pic on the UKHCS forums...it was taken on my way home, just before my last descent into Porlock.

That hill is not for the faint-hearted...how the hell you coach drivers tackle it I don't know! :o
I was warned before hand, but thought it was being exaggerated....I mean, it's the main A-road along the North Devon coast...can't be that bad, I thought! :icon-lol:
