Hi mate.
Love the SIII... lets see some pictures then... Is it standard, or have you begun playing with it.

A 2.7 v6, so soon after passing your test, your brave ;)

Having spent quite a bit of time in the US that makes me laugh - a mate of mine has a 15 year old son who is learning to drive in his 5.8L V8 Firebird - and when he passes his test - he's going to give it to him :text-thankyouyellow:

Now could you imagine being insured for such a car in the UK - not on your Nelly! :laughing-rollingyellow:

must admit after id modded the 2.0l i just wanted the v6 and its worth the extra money to run it, my advice is if you can afford to run the v6 dont bother with the 2.0lit just isnt as much fun

I'd have thought the 2.0L, with a turbo, could easily achieve 200~220hp without too much drama at all?

The V6, although having a fair bit of torque doesn't really have a great deal of horsepower (with 170ish) at the end of the day and should presumably run forever...that torque does help the grin factor of course but you'll certainly pay to play with it.

The 2 that I drove in Canada got 15MPG in urban areas doing "point and squirt" driving...which is less than most V8's - double the size.... :o

thing is its not bhp you really wanty, its the torque, its the torque that slams you into the seat and makes you smile.

it all depends on what budget you have, if your like most people and have maybe 1k to spend on the engine then ull feel a fair bit of diffrence when you've finished but not asmuch as if you have 10k to throw at it, theres clips on you tube of koreon 2.0l cars keep up and beating some supercars, ill try and dig them out

F/I is the way forward.

The I4 is a brilliant engine to turbo, and the v6 great to supercharge - each have their own ups and downs.....

Faz - gimme a few days and hopefully i'll let you know what i think too
